Hands-on data collection to support water supply projects.
Strategic planning to optimize water resource management.
Our work spans the full path from understanding an aquifer to putting new water supply into service.
Hydrogeologic studies and field work: Technical investigations of groundwater resources, backed by hands-on field data collection.
Groundwater availability modeling: Quantifying how much water an aquifer can reliably supply over the long term.
Water supply planning and development: Identifying, evaluating and advancing new and alternative supplies for growing demand.
Well system design: Designing reliable, long-term well systems that maximize yield while protecting the resource.
Regulatory coordination: Policy development and work with groundwater conservation districts and state agencies to navigate the regulatory framework to move projects forward.
Brackish water and desalination: Board member and Brackish Legislative Subcommittee Chair for the Texas Desalination Association, with deep experience in brackish groundwater and desalination.
Energy-water initiatives: Water supply solutions that meet the needs of the energy sector.
Groundwater ownership and production: A founding member of the Texas Association of Groundwater Owners and Producers, with a clear view of how landowners and producers are affected by water decisions.

Darrell S. Peckham has 40 years of experience working with the groundwaters of Texas. A 7th-generation Texan and a 2nd-generation Texas hydrogeologist, he was born in Austin, and the Peckham name has been associated with hydrogeology in Texas for more than 65 years.
Darrell served the State of Texas for 15 years, spent 12 years in private consulting and directed the activities of a non-profit for 3 years. He and his wife, Christine, then created Peckham P.G., LLC, a family-run consulting firm based in Llano County. Darrell provides strategic planning, guidance, management, policy development and public practice of geoscience services, with a primary focus on the prudent development of municipal, industrial, mining, agricultural, environmental and recreational water supplies in Texas.
Darrell is a board member and Brackish Legislative Subcommittee Chair for the Texas Desalination Association, serves on the Permian Basin Water Management Council Advisory Team, and is a founding member of the Texas Association of Groundwater Owners and Producers. He is also president of BNP Land, LLC, a family and friends ranch project in Llano County.
Darrell is one of two experts on this groundwater availability panel, a good look at how he explains Texas aquifers.

Peckham P.G. transformed our understanding of groundwater and sustainable planning process.

Darrell's expertise in hydrogeology is unmatched in Texas.

Exceptional service and comprehensive groundwater resource strategies!
We specialize in hydrogeologic studies, field work, and water supply planning tailored for municipal, industrial, agricultural, environmental, and energy sectors.
If you're considering developing a new water source or need to assess existing supplies, a hydrogeologic study can provide essential insights.
Our process begins with studying the geology of the aquifer, followed by comprehensive analysis and planning tailored to your specific needs.
We proudly serve communities across Texas, addressing unique water supply needs for various clients throughout the state.
We focus on environmentally responsible solutions, considering both current water needs and the long-term sustainability of the water source.
